Our History

Founded in 2011 by Alexander C. Ebner (ACE), our company was built on the belief that better solutions exist for everyday challenges faced by customers. Drawing from his experience with larger corporations—where innovation was often stifled and customer input overlooked—Alex envisioned a different approach: one that values collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Early on, we partnered with small to mid-sized companies as a regional distributor, bringing advanced products and a customer-first mindset to operating rooms across the Midwest. These partnerships laid the foundation for something greater.

Today, we are proud to be our own manufacturer of high-quality surgical instruments, combining hands-on industry experience with a deep commitment to innovation. This evolution allows us to design, produce, and deliver instruments that truly reflect the needs of modern surgical teams—backed by the same customer-centered values that sparked our journey.

Timeline

2015

ACE Medical Co registered with the FDA and manufactured their first surgical instruments in our South German facility. A Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) black colored bone punch to remove soft tissue and bony fragments during surgery. This revolutionary design offered customers a more reliable experience and improvements to care delivered in surgery for hospitals nationwide.

2016

ACE Medical Co launched an innovative line of Plastic Surgery Cannulas primarily for fat transfer and Liposuction procedures. This same year, ACE provided our customers with an FDA approved Meatal Dilator to treat urethral stricture.

2017

ACE Medical launched our first Bipolar Forceps. The orange colored, ergonomic round handle grip and solid silver tips offered superior performance, especially in complex procedures like brain surgery and facial reconstruction. Next ACE launched a revolutionary minimally invasive bipolar forcep to treat tumors through a tiny port sized incision. Next, we manufactured our Isabella Forceps, giving surgeons new solutions that moved the surgeons hands outside of their line of sight through the Microscope.

2018

ACE Medical launched the Ebner line of PVD coated supercut surgical scissors to allow surgeons more precise cuts. The superior durability was a favorite of hospitals whose previous surgical instruments required significant maintenance and repair.

2019

ACE Medical Exhibited at the Annual Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) in San Francisco and the North American Skull Based Surgeons (NASBS) to expand further reach into other countries in North and South America.

2020

ACE Medical was awarded 510K Clearance for their Kerrison Rongeurs, allowing them to be marketed for use in Neuro and Spine surgeries. The same year we launched a Quality Management System to ensure reliability to our valued customers.

2023

ACE Medical received ISO 13485 certification, validating our Quality Management System and allowing us to market to international markets.

Our Surgical Instruments are more durable, lasting longer with significantly less maintenance than our competitors. Our Kerrison Rongeurs are always sharp, and deliver a reliable but every time. Next, we provide Bipolar Forceps with solid silver tips, requiring lower temperature for controlling bleeding in surgery. Additionally, our super cut scissors deliver a perfect clean cut every time. The unique black PVD coated instruments are easier to clean, providing a safer surgical experience. Last, our innovative line of Liposuction Cannulas and suctions allow surgeons better performance for high volume fat transfers, and simple cosmetic procedures.
